We’re pretty chuffed to have Carlton Farmers Market included in Richard Cornish’s Six Reasons to Visit Carlton North. Carlton FM is held on the first Saturday of the month at the vibrant Carlton North Primary School. The market relocated in October 2017 due to upgrades to the buildings and facilities at its old home at Carlton PS.

Carlton Farmers Market features a range of farmers and specialty makers who grow, make, bake and prepare food using Victorian produce. The market is proudly accredited by the Victorian Farmers Market Association, meaning there are no wholesalers or resellers present, simply real food direct from those who produce it. You’ll meet farmers such as Ian from Yapunyah Meadow Grazed Chickens (pictured) who can tell you all about his family’s farming practices and how his chooks are raised.

Don’t forget to BYO bags, trolleys, baskets or backpacks to pack your fresh fruit, veggies, bread, free range eggs + meats and more into. You’ll also find a playground for kids, music, community groups and a wash up station…thanks to the City of Yarra we have gone reusable and are single-use coffee cup free!
