We posted on April 1 about commercially grown bananas hitting our farmers’ markets. This was met with excitement, confusion and a few people realising that they may have fallen victim to April Fools. So why are there no bananas at our farmers’ markets? Because all produce is grown or reared directly by Victorian farmers. This means that there are no wholesalers or resellers, the produce is fresh and the money goes directly into Victorian farming families and their communities.
We look forward to seeing you throughout April at Carlton, Coburg, Collingwood, Fairfield, Gasworks,Slow Food Melbourne and Uni Melb Farmers Markets.
