We are very grateful to have received funding from the Victorian State Government Working for Victoria program to undertake a number of new projects, elevating and diversifying our work in the local food system. The areas of work are a combination of administration, based in our Alphington office, COVID safety roles to ensure vigilance and compliance at market sites plus new projects developing more activity in Melbourne and regional Victoria.

BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT MANAGER

Position details: Fixed term part time (0.8 x 12 months, including 6 months funded by Working for Victoria)
30.4 hours per week
Reporting to: Managing Director
Annual salary: $58,823 inclusive of penalties and allowances + superannuation
Primary Location: 2 Wingrove St, Alphington and various market sites within Melbourne

Work with the operational team to drive continuous improvement processes for existing business; and work with the Managing Director and Senior Management team to seek and develop profitable opportunities that are aligned to our social enterprise objectives.

DIGITAL CONTENT AND COMMUNICATIONs COORDINATOR

Position details: Fixed term full time (6 months) with a view to permanent FT ongoing role
38 hours per week
Reporting to: Managing Director
Annual salary (pro rata): $62,433 inclusive of penalties and allowances + superannuation
Primary Location: 2 Wingrove St, Alphington and various market sites within Melbourne

In collaboration with the Business Development Manager and Managing Director, design and implement a central strategic marketing plan to position MFM as a key voice for sustainable food systems and farming practices, regional food cultures, seasonal produce, and strengthening relationships between the consumer and producer.

Administration Coordinator

Position details: Fixed term full time (6 months) with a view to permanent FT ongoing role 38 hours per week
Reporting to: Operations Manager
Annual salary (pro rata): $48,676 inclusive of penalties and allowances + superannuation

The Administration Coordinator will support the senior management team of MFM and develop systems and processes for efficient office management and administration.

The position is primarily responsible for the safe delivery of a suite of farmers markets with the focus on COVID risk management, food safety and event oversight in a COVID-normal environment. Though the position has specific market accountability, it also plays a significant role in developing policies and procedures that apply across the MFM business.

This position has specific market accountability for the Coburg Farmers Market. It has a significant role in representing MFM, liaising with the Moreland City Council, the Coburg Primary School and the broader Coburg community.
